Alumni Program

An outline of upcoming curated events for the LV Alumni network of over 7,000 leaders, including 1,400 Williamson, Folio and ExperienceBank Fellows, formed over 35 years of diverse and impactful leadership programs.

Overview

We aim to continue to inspire, mobilise and support our Alumni long after the program finishes, towards our vision of an inclusive, equitable, sustainable society.

Our Alumni Program is still experimental and developing, but we hope it continues the LV experience of learning, growing, connecting and contributing. It has three aspects:

  1. Contribution to Community – to support Alumni to boost contributions to strengthening communities and tackling complex and systemic problems.
  2. Leadership Learning – to provide opportunities for Alumni to refresh and continue leadership learning.
  3.  Alumni Connection – to create events and experiences that connect diverse Alumni in meaningful and enjoyable ways.

We have also forged partnerships with organisations such as the Melbourne Forum, to create even more opportunities for our Alumni.

Thank you to the many Alumni who have ‘taken the call’ to contribute to LV by speaking at programs and events; contributing to the LV and LVF Boards, and Advisory Committees; and providing technical expertise on areas from events to philanthropy to contract T&Cs! If you would like to help in some way, please email alumni@leadershipvictoria.org.

Alumni Webinar - 'Quietly Powerful Leadership’ with Megumi Miki

Wednesday, October 8, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Do you know quieter professionals who contribute a lot but don’t get noticed or recognised, whose voice and opinions tend to be over-shadowed? Most of these professionals have a lot of substance, wisdom and potential. Due to their quieter nature, often colleagues, teams and organisations can overlook the deep, thoughtful insights and leadership strengths these professionals bring to the table.

In this webinar, Megumi will be sharing the key insights and learnings from her award-winning book: Quietly Powerful: How your quiet nature is your hidden leadership strength. She will outline how people can use their quiet nature as their leadership strength to unlock their full potential. She will be joined by 2024 Williamson Fellow and Valedictorian Nasteha Mohamud, Neighbourhood Partner at City of Melbourne.

Join us to explore:

  • Rethinking our beliefs about what good leadership really looks like.

  • Quietly Powerful leadership and their superpowers.

  • Why we need more Quietly Powerful leadership now, more than ever, in our changing, uncertain environment.

  • How you can be inclusive everyday by accessing your quiet superpowers whether you’re naturally quieter or not.

Leadership and Legacy Dinner 2025

Wednesday, November 26, 6:30PM - 10:30PM

Join us as we come together to celebrate a year of impactful leadership, community contributions and enduring networks at the Leadership and Legacy Dinner 2025.

On the night, we'll be celebrating the Williamson Community Leadership Program (WCLP) 2025 Graduation, formally welcoming them as Fellows. We'll also honour over 35 years of purpose-driven leadership by recognising the contributions and impact of the broader Leadership Victoria Alumni.

The evening will feature a keynote address by Sally Curtain, incoming CEO of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), reflections from the WCLP 2025 Valedictorians who will share highlights from their leadership journey, and a captivating performance by Djirri Djirri dancers.

Enjoy a multi-course dinner and drinks and meaningful conversation in one of Melbourne’s premier venues.

We’re looking forward to celebrating 2025 and the leadership stories that shaped the year with you, the LV Community. Get together a group from your own program cohort, connect with other purpose-driven leaders, share what you’ve been working on, and look ahead to the future we are shaping together.

Whether you’re reuniting with familiar faces or forging new connections, the Leadership and Legacy Dinner will inspire, celebrate, and strengthen our community.
