How do you become more creative, as a leader?
26/09/2024Leadership Victoria is excited to announce a new partnership with Melbourne Forum, as another way to support our Alumni to navigate the complexities of today’s world, build connections and drive social change. This collaboration will bring together LV’s three decades of leadership development expertise and diverse, 7,0000-strong Alumni network, and MF’s membership of outstanding leaders and excellent program of events that commit to ‘bringing people together to cultivate deep discussions on a wide range of local, national and global issues that shape the future of Melbourne City and beyond’.
Drawing on the strengths of both Leadership Victoria and Melbourne Forum, this partnership will offer the following exciting opportunities for LV Alumni:
Access to the Melbourne Forum Program
- LV Alumni will be able to access, at member rates, select MF events that are particularly relevant to LV Alumni.
- LV Alumni will be able to access, at guest rates, the broader program of MF events.
- LV Alumni will be able to access selected MF Member Forums (normally open to MF members only).
Streamlined Membership Processes
- MF will fast track Williamson, SkillsBank and Folio Fellows who wish to become members of MF. Therefore, Fellows will only need to apply to become an MF member rather than go through the usual nomination/proposal process.
- The membership application fee will be waived for Williamson, SkillsBank and Folio Fellows who wish to join MF – they will only pay the annual fee plus normal member rates to participate in events.
- LV Alumni who have attended three (3) MF events as guests will be encouraged to become MF members and continue participation.
Access to the MF Fellowship Program
- Each year, LV will be able to nominate 2-3 of our Alumni for selection in the MF Fellowship Program, which provides each recipient a full membership of MF for one year, a subsidised membership for the next two years, attendance at a range of key events as a MF guest, and the opportunity for mentoring or guidance from MF members. They also bring a strategic issue that is important to them or their community to a Roundtable of select MF members to help them problem-solve, draw on resources or use them as a sounding board. The Fellowship has a value of $2000 for each recipient.
You can read more about MF and review their event program here. A number of LV Alumni are already members of MF.
Leadership Victoria and Melbourne Forum are both dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact in our society, and this partnership exemplifies a shared vision for a future of purpose-driven leaders. We look forward to a long and fruitful partnership!
