A Leading Edge for Not-For-Profit Organisations.

For over 15 years, our SkillsBank program has brokered placements of Leadership Victoria Alumni in response to literally thousands of requests from not-for-profit organisations.

Our network of over 800 Alumni includes some of the Australia’s best and brightest leaders. The participating Alumni carry out their placements on a pro bono basis, and yet the true value of tapping into our ‘bank’ of Alumni extends far beyond cost savings. Host organisations draw on leadership expertise not otherwise available to them – expertise that adds considerable value by building their organisation’s long-term capacity. In turn, Alumni are enriched both professionally and personally by extending their leadership practice into new contexts.

Each SkillsBank placement is:

• leadership-focussed: Examples of placement activities include running a leadership workshop for the senior staff of an organisation, working on a project that aims to foster the emerging leaders in an associated community, and serving as a member of a board
• focussed on the long-term: Each placement emphasises long-term benefits for the host organisation. These benefits might be realised by transferring knowledge, engendering a change in an organisation’s future practice of leadership, working on strategic activities, or other means.

One of our most successful programs, SkillsBank creates a stimulating and inspiring experience for our Alumni and provides host organisations with a leading edge.
