Background information
Founded in 2007, Zoe Belle Gender Centre (ZBGC) is a Melbourne-based organisation that supports and improves the health and well-being of Victoria's sex and/or gender diverse (SGD) population - that is, transgender, transsexual and other gender variant people.

Among its activities, we have been campaigning for the establishment of a community centre for Victoria's SGD population. We also run a 'virtual gender centre' at our website.

ZBGC is managed by a board, the ZBGC Working Group.

VISION

A society that values people of all sex and gender identities and expressions

MISSION

To support and improve the health and wellbeing of people of all genders. We view health holistically to assist, inform, enliven and advocate for our communities

WHAT WE DO

Our objective is to develop and maintain a gender centre that addresses inequities in the health and social wellbeing of sex and gender diverse people in Victoria by:

* advocating and educating about issues of gender diversity
* providing support, information and referrals
* collaborating with individuals and organisations whose objectives are complementary to our objectives
* running events, workshops and campaigns to inform, enliven and strengthen our communities.
