Background information
Founded in September 2010 Connecting Hands is a not for profit organisation who supports young victims of traffiking and slavery in Cambodia. We use our own time to run Connecting Hands and rely on the generous support of the Australian Public to enable us to provide the support required to sustain and enrich the lives of women and young children affected by Human Trafficking.
Connecting Hands currently partners with AFESIP in Cambodia and work towards alleviating the impact of sexual slavery by providing young women and children who have been rescued from such terrible acts a more sustainable and brighter future as they face a life free from slavery.
We work at providing rescue, rehabilitation & reintegration to women and children who have been affected or at risk of sexual slavery in Cambodia.
Connecting Hands is committed to raising awareness about trafficking and slavery. Our hope is that one day we see the abolishment of modern day slavery, have the means to stop perpetrators and free the many young and innocent lives that are exploited every day.
We are looking for Board Members to support our work and work with us to grow Connecting Hand, however we also require members to have the requirements to meet DGR status (Responsible People)
