Skillsbank Application Form

SkillsBank is one program in a suite of projects that aim to drive change. SkillsBank and other projects deploy Leadership Victoria Alumni to address emerging issues that call for exceptional leadership.

SkillsBank placements are:

  • Leadership-focused: examples of placement activities include running a leadership workshop for the senior staff of an organisation, working on a project that aims to foster the emerging leaders in an associated community, and serving as a member of a Board.
  • Focused on the long-term: each placement emphasizes long-term benefits for the community organisation. These benefits might be realised, for example, by transferring knowledge, engendering a change in an organisation’s future practice of leadership or working on strategic activities.

SkillsBank creates a collaborative, stimulating and inspiring experience for Leadership Victoria Alumni and provides host organisations with a leading edge.

In order for SkillsBank to understand the nature of your organisation and the assistance you require, it is important that you define the issue(s) clearly and complete all relevant questions on this form.

There are 5 sections in the application form: The 1st (contact information) and 5th (certification) must be completed. Part 2 pertains to requests for Board of Management members, Part 3 for requests for a mentor and Part 4 requests for project assistance or advice.

CERTIFICATION

As Chief Executive Officer (or equivalent) of the organisation, I certify that the information given in this application is true and correct. All appropriate information about our organisation will be made available to the skilled volunteer provided by SkillsBank. I agree to report to SkillsBank on the progress and outcomes of the project/activity when requested to do so.

I further note that my organisation accepts that the Alumni participating in this SkillsBank placement do so as volunteers and neither as representatives of their own employer nor as agents of Leadership Victoria. Any advice provided by a SkillsBank volunteer is given in good faith; where critical matters are involved I acknowledge that my organisation will seek independent professional advice. Any Alumni will be treated as a volunteer for insurance purposes. I acknowledge that a volunteer cannot be held personally liable for anything done, or not done, within the scope of the project or activity coordinated by Leadership Victoria.
